Do you know your system ?

We may never understand illnesses such as fibromyalgia. The truth is there may never be a cure, which is why prevention is key! It's important to begin to think of your body as a system rather than just bones, muscles and skin.

If you suffer from fibromyalgia it's more important than ever to begin to listen and learn about your system. Illnesses like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and fibromyalgia all equal a breakdown in our systems.

Last week we sent you a meal guide. Following it and getting enough exercise and sleep are only a few ways of strengthening your system. Just like any other system, there are ways to maintain yours so it can operate at it's highest level.

If you think your system only needs rest and total isolation from others your setting yourself up to be ill for a very long time. You need to work on your system everyday while listening to the feedback it gives you.

Remember - fibromyalgia is not something your body "gets" or "has," it is something your body does.

Functional exercise is a never ending cycle that will propel you to a healthier life, a life better suited to overcome and persevere. Instead of giving into your fibromyalgia, decide today to let exercise and diet take you to your next level.
