"Your 2012 Goals"
In with the "new" and out with the "old". It's 2012 and time to set goals for your fibromyalgia treatment plan. Maybe 2011 wasn't your year, it's o.k. Today we can start fresh again.
In my last video presentation on youtube, I spoke about the use of a simple eraseable white board to accomplish your main goal, everyday. I will add a link to that video below.
Basically the way you would go about it would be to set a Supreme Goal for 2012. Maybe something like losing 35 pounds or eating healthier, both of of which will dramatically improve your fibromyalgia symptoms.
Next you establish a plan to reach that goal. Lastly and most importantly, you hold yourself accountable.
This 3 step approach can work like magic if you put it to use. You can do this by using a simple calender or erasable white board. Place it somewhere you know you will see it everyday, probably the kitchen.
You should have your supreme goal written down and set in your mind already. Next - go write down what you will do tomorrow to accomplish this goal. It should look something like this:
1. Stretch for 5-10 minutes
2. Exercise for 20-25 minutes
3. Eat a protein packed breakfast eggs, cheese, turkey
4. Keep stress LOW...
Now you can't skip a number. So when you finish #1 you simply cross it off and continue down the line.
This does 2 things. First it is a "commitment device" which will help you hold yourself accountable. Next, hopefully others will see it, and you don't want to look like a someone who doesn't keep their word.
It's really a powerful technique that will enable yo to make 2012 look a whole lot diferent than 2011.
