The 3 exercises every fibromyalgia sufferer needs June 26, 2014 |
Tree poseI have been promoting exercise for fibromyalgia since 2008. Back then I was called irresponsible for beleiving fibromyalgia could be relived with exercise. "Fibromyalgia sufferers need rest" - they would say. Fast forward to 2014 and we have come along way. I have always believed that fibromyalgia affects everyone differently. What might work for you may not work for someone else. That is why I believe in a varied approach to exercise for fibromyalgia. The 3 most valuable types of these exercises are as followed. 1. Functional exercises (mimicking everyday movements) 2. Swimming (It has worked miracles for fibromyalgia) 3. Yoga (Some still feel a bit intimidated by it) These are the 3 types of exercises illustrated in both of my programs and I believe will continue to assist those with fibromyalgia. Below is a link to the Yoga tree pose. Try it out, see how it feels. Don't give up after 1 or 2 attempts. We now offer 15 of these yoga for fibromyalgia videos to anyone purchasing one of our two programs. See which one is best suited for you and start to move a little. There is no time like the present to begin to heal.
