The latest treatments for fibromyalgia may not be your cup of tea. I am just here to inform you of whats out there besides fibromyalgia medication.

Look, the fact is the more you know about fibromyalgia the better you will be able to handle it.

When we think of the word Fitness, we usually picture someone physically fit, maybe a professional athlete.

These athletes train very hard and are usually in some sort of pain or discomfort almost 75% of the time.

We only see them when they are on the field being applauded and adored. Rarely do we see the behind the scenes....the heating pads, the icing tubs, the massages, the x-rays, the needles.

You get the picture. There is a lot of pain. So in my quest to bring you the latest treatments for fibromyalgia, I have found many are the same used by world class athletes.

Hopefully some of them will bring you relief from your pain and fibromyalgia fatigue.

Acupuncture, Chiropractic care, Massage, Meditation, and Oxygen. The latest treatments for fibromyalgia may not be a complete cure for fibromyalgia. Although they should give you natural relief from your worries and fibromyalgia pain.

Acupuncture

Dry needles are inserted into your skin at multiple areas. For sufferers these areas would be your fibromyalgia trigger points.

Slight twisting of the needles and like magic your Endorphins are released into your blood stream.

These endorphins are your bodies natural "feel good" hormones.

Chiropractic care

Chiropractic is a very common method of treating chronic pain caused by fibromyalgia trigger points. Chiropractic care relies on the fact that our bodies are self healing.

It is very effective in treating fibromyalgia for the simple fact that it relieves pain, especially back and neck pain. The way this is done is by hand adjustments to the spine vertebrae which have become shifted out of their proper alignment.

These adjustments correct the alignment of the location and bring relief to the your pain.

I have had chronic shoulder problems for years from sports and trying to lift to much weight. My good friend Dr.Kenneth Blank has helped me tremendously using these adjustments.

Even if you are exercising for fibromyalgia, it is still a good idea to get properly aligned once in awhile.

Massage

Who doesn't like a massage once in awhile? The funny thing is I have spoken with some of my clients who really don't care for them. The goal of using massage for fibromyalgia is to release your muscular tension. This release in tension is beneficial to fibromyalgia fatigue.

I have had both Deep Tissue and Swedish massages. I have heard that the deep tissue massage is better for fibromyalgia pain since it targets the deep layers of the muscle.

I prefer the Swedish. Whichever one you choose, remember there may be some pain since the practitioner needs to use some force.

Meditation

How would you like to take a break from reality and your fibromyalgia once in awhile.

With meditation for fibromyalgia, let your calming thoughts take you away to another place. Allow your thoughts to take a break from your daily grind and give your spiritual self some attention.

Meditation for fibromyalgia has shown to improve your outlook on life and keep you serene.

Professional Athletes use meditation when they are not performing well and need to gain focus. If you suffer from fibromyalgia you are guaranteed to lose your focus from time to time.

No matter your circumstances, loved ones, good friends, your future, your health - all deserve your focus.

Oxygen

Fibromyalgia oxygen therapy is fairly new to the arena but may be something to further look into. Basically the research goes something like this.

Oxygen is our life force and required for energy, healing, and vitality. Fibromyalgia specialist in oxygen therapy state that fibromyalgia sufferers have a decrease of oxygen being delivered to their muscles.

When this happens toxins in your blood do not leave your body quick enough. Our air quality is getting worse by the day and the oxygen which was once so plentiful is becoming depleted little by little. This causes the cells in our bodies to malfunction.

Professional athletes use oxygen chambers to speed up the healing from the injuries they sustain.

Could it benefit fibromyalgia?

Why not, It would probably benefit us all. The Fibromyalgia oxygen connection is a topic that I will continue to explore.

These are just some of the latest treatments for fibromyalgia. There are many more, but I believe these to be the most natural outside of exercise for fibromyalgia.

Obviously if you are lucky enough to have a good fibromyalgia Doctor consult with him/her first.

If not, do your research while you continue to use exercise for fibromyalgia and a healthy diet.
