"Exercise at home to save time and your muscles"

I do not workout in a gym. I exercise at home. I have spent hundreds of dollars and precious time on gyms.

I now save huge amounts of time exercising at my home. I train my clients at their homes.

Many people have gym memberships and for one reason or another never go. Maybe they lack the confidence to workout in front of others.

Maybe because of your fibromyalgia tender points and the pain they create you rather not go to a gym.

So don't go, exercise at home at your own pace, build your strength, and save time and money all at the same time.

There are hundreds of at home exercises that you can do. The goal is to do them.

Don't let the fear of a gym stop you from exercise.

Your confidence will triple as soon as you begin to feel the energy that exercise at home will give you.

Your fibromyalgia fatigue won't stand a chance.

Opposites attract. Yin and Yang. Good and Evil. Fibromyalgia and Exercise.

You need it. Don't think that you will be better off resting. That is the worst possible scenario for your fibromyalgia tender points and your fibromyalgia fatigue.

I had a women disagree with me on the topic of fibromyalgia and exercise. She asked me if I knew what happens to the muscles of fibromyalgia sufferers if they are stretched.

My answer............. "They get Stronger".

Do you know what happens if you don't use them. It's called Atrophy, it means your muscles basically shrivel up and weaken.

Symptoms of fibromyalgia include chronic pain. There is no research that states that your muscles are weaker than the average person.

Unfortunately with fibromyalgia you are going to have pain. But exercise can reduce the symptoms and give you relief.

High blood pressure is an insidious health condition, but practicing the many yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation techniques lowers your risk for cardiovascular disease, also produces significant improvement in your blood glucose control and cholesterol levels within just nine days.



The point is, like Nike says, "Just Do It!

No gym - No problem. Do you have a floor in your home? How about a wall? Well that's about all you need to exercise at home.

  • Face a wall and place your feet approximately 1-2 feet away. Now place both of your hands on the wall shoulder width apart as if you were pushing the wall away. Now bend your elbows bringing your upper body as close to the wall as possible.

You just completed one repetition of assisted push-ups using your wall. See how many you can compete today and tomorrow try to beat that number. Exercise at home is very simple.

You don't need heavy weights and treadmills to exercise at home. Exercise should not be slow, long, and boring. I exercise at home 3-4 times a week and it takes about a half hour each day.

Now of course I know what exercises work best and that's information that I will provide to you.

The best at home exercises use your own body weight. Now there is equipment that you can use, but for now we will focus on your own body.

On the home page of this site I explained the differences between aerobic exercise, strength exercise, and the combination of the two, Interval training.

The best home exercise program is without a doubt, Interval Training. It will allow you to exercise at home in as little as 20 minutes per day.

This is key if you suffer from fibromyalgia pain and fatigue. It will heat up those tense muscles and joints.

An example:

You just completed 10 assisted push ups using your wall as mentioned above. Now you would breathe and rest for 10 seconds.

Now, still facing the wall you would complete 10 body weight squats.

  • Arms to the side shoulder height. squat down as if sitting in a chair, and return to standing.

Then add 5 seconds to your rest, 15 seconds, and repeat the assisted push ups. Do this combination 3 times if you can. If not just try tomorrow.

This is a simple exercise at home you can complete in under 5 minutes before you head out in the morning, at lunch, after dinner. I am currently in the process of researching different programs which will allow you to see folks like you completing these at home exercises.

Exercise at home does not require much. A ten by ten room should suffice. Some water, a little music and your on your way.
