"More for your core" by Eric Suarez

On an especially wet, rainy day here in New York, we wait for Hurricane Irene and all her splendor....

So today I have decided to use Irene as an example for why your Core Muscles, are so important to your day to day operations...

Many people believe the core muscles of our bodies only pertain to our stomach muscles...Wrong.

The Core muscles actually include the 25 muscles of our lower back, hips, and stomach.

And sooner or later, with or without fibromyalgia, you will surely feel some pain in one of those regions, especially the hips and lower back.

Everything has a core, and at that core is the power, the force behind it all.

The core of Hurricane Irene is packing wind gusts of over 125 miles per hour...

My core, your core, our cores, better be ready...

Or core muscles are involved in everything we do, everyday. From walking to standing up, they're involved.

What's the best exercise for your core???

Glad you asked...

Planks....

How do you do them? Easy...

1. From the push up position, rest your weight on your forearms instead of your hands. Get Up on your toes.

2. Your body should form a strait line from your shoulders to your ankles.

3. Brace your core by tightening your stomach muscles as if you were about to be punched.

4. Hold this position for 15-30 seconds and build up your time from there.

If this is to difficult, try the assisted plank, resting on your knees instead of your toes.

Get your core ready folks,

Your future and your health depend on it...

Just another quick fitness tip from yours truly,

Stay Dry...
