"3 Tips to get you ready for summer" by Eric Suarez
Although the forecast in N.Y. is calling for more snow tomorrow, I remain optimistic that I will see the sun again. The winter is just to hard on the body, especially if you suffer from fibromyalgia.
As much as it may not feel like spring.......it is. That means summer is fast approaching and that means you need to get ready, physically. This is going to be your best summer yet, believe it!
Now is the perfect time to start getting your bones, muscles, and joints fired up for the summer. My buddy Aaron is getting ready to service his porsche since it's been sitting in a cold garage all winter. Oil change, Tires, Routine maintenance, etc....
Now if a car needs maintenance after this winter, how could we not. Trust me, the following 3 tips to get you ready for summer are a lot cheaper than servicing that porsche!
So without further ado'
Get ready for your best summer yet!
1. Start hydrating.......your body is in desperate need of more water. The colds, the flu, the joint pain, the muscle pain. They all leave little nasty particles of waste inside of us.
Start flushing your system out now to get ready for the summer. It will clear your complexion and help you lose weight faster. About 8 glasses a day should do it.
Extra tip, make it the first thing you ingest every morning...........only 7 more to go.
2. Replace the "Starchy carbs" with "Fibrous carbs". Starchy equals white flour, rice, and potatoes. These are also a root cause of joint pain for many fibro sufferers.
Start eating things like:
Asparagus, broccoli, carrots, lettuce, and green beans. If you suffer from fibro beware of the Nightshade vegatabels, Tomatoes, Eggplant, Peppers, and Tabasco sauce.........They will wreak havoc on arthritis as well.
All carbs are not created equal. If you simply replace the good ones for the bad ones you will begin to look better, causing you to feel better this summer.
Now is the time to start cutting back and counting the carbs you consume. Get your body used to it now and you'll be able to hold your ground at the barbecues.
3. Start sweating. Some bodywight squats paired with some step ups (use your stairs), should begin to get the job done. Ladies if you want to feel better this summer..........Look better this summer.
Our muscles and joints have gotten very tight during this past winter. Now is the perfect time to start preparing them for walking, swimming, and regular exercise. Begin slow.......just make sure you begin!
Soon the birds will be chirping, the sun will be shining, and you will be looking like a million bucks!
Remember this is going to be your best summer yet!
