"Carpe Diem" - seize your day

When I meet with a prospective client it's all about short term goals...

It's about losing 1 pound or doing 3 push ups, and then 4, and then 5, etc...

When you make goals for your fibromyalgia treatment plan, make sure you don't go too far over board, make sure your goals are serious and attainable.

The quote is Carpe Diem, which means to "seize the day" not "seize the year"!

The Latin poem by Horace, was meant to get you to see that if you steady your eyes on tomorrow, you sometimes lose sight of today. How will you know your life will be better in a year without fibromyalgia, if you are not seizing your day, preparing it for victory today?

Seize your day folks, forget about tomorrow. Do one easy exercise today, don't worry about how you will feel or fail tomorrow.

It's April and 75 degrees here in New York.

How did I seize my day?

I trained - I mowed the lawn - I played with my 3 year old daughter. Not so exciting...but effective!

How about you?

Start your day right tomorrow. "Carpe Diem"

Seize your day and let the future handle itself. One day at a time, step by step - you'll get there.
