Do you talk about your fibro?
February 19, 2013

Do you speak about it?

There is something to be said about letting it go, speaking what's on your mind...

Our Skype personal training and coaching services are up and running. The feed back has been awesome, and surprising.

I had thought that the biggest benefit for those with fibromyalgia would be the exercises, stretches , and diet information given during our Skype sessions, turns out I was wrong.

Surprisingly enough, what turns out to be the greatest benefit to everyone so far, is just being able to speak about their fibromyalgia, being able to air out what has been bottled up for so long.

I have been training and coaching fibromyalgia sufferers since 2008, and this is the first time I have really come to understand the simple importance of just talking about your fibromyalgia, communicating your pain.

I suppose many of you don't get to speak to anyone about what you go through day to day, or what you have been through within your fibromyalgia journey.

It's something so simple, but so overlooked.

Are you speaking about it?

Do you have someone to share your frustrations and fears with?

I went on to do a little research and found this;

A recent study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, showed participation in an e-mail discussion group was enough to help reduce pain and disability in the individual with chronic pain.

So if you are not speaking about it to anyone, you can email me and join our Skype sessions or log onto our fight fibromyalgia forum on our website or contribute to this news letter.

Whatever means you choose, make sure you air it out, talk about your fibromyalgia to someone, and get some relief.
