Your not alone...

For those of you who have had someone tell you to exercise, be positive, and push through the pain...

From Heather,

I have been recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have been in severe daily pain for 5 years. To flip through hangers in my closet or fold a simple load of laundry is extremely painful. My Dr. said I need to exercise, particularly lift weights. this scares me because if I do too much i will be unable to function for several days. he says push through the pain.

What do you say?

Hi Heather,

Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, but it can be managed, healthfully.

It's time to become focused on living healthy and eating clean (low carbohydrates).

Yes exercise is extremely important. Although I don't really believe in "pushing through the pain".

Take your time and begin with some light stretches. Sounds like you should really be taking baby steps at this point , working your way up to more strenuous exercise.

I know of fibromyalgia sufferers who "believe it or not" are running in marathons...that's like 26 miles or something...crazy.

So you see, if you begin to take care of your body and your mind, they too will take care of you.

If you haven't gotten my eBook exercise system yet, it's a simple, easy way to begin a healthy exercise and diet program.

Use the code fightfibro and get seven dollars off of the price.

A Fibromyalgia 12 week exercise and diet plan

Hope this helps Heather,

Remember - as much as it feels like your all alone - your not.

There are many other emails I send like this, today - you are only the first in a line of many.

Keep your chin up, stay positive, and remain focused on getting your body as healthy as possible...

Sincerely,

Eric Suarez, CPT.
