Kind words from a client!
September 24, 2013
You can do it!
You have the power in you to change how fibromyalgia affects your life.
Recently I have called on some of my past and present clients to help me get this point across.
"After a few years of not knowing what was "wrong" with me I finally had answers from the doctors. It was fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. The arthritis wasn't as big of a problem as the fibromyalgia. This disease changed me.
I was lost because the person I knew I could be and the person I was ceased to exist because I was buried under this burden of fatigue, stress, depression and pain.
I wasn't a happy person, but one day something clicked and I was determined not to feel this way anymore. Fibro may make my days and nights full of pain, it may make me tired, depressed, and weary but I knew I could choose to think another way.
I knew that diet and exercise would be a big part of this change I was seeking. I looked online to see what I could find and came across Eric's website.
I read over everything, looked at his youtube and twitter pages and read his e-book. I knew he was going to be part of this solution. He was going to help me take my life back. I was not going to be a victim of fibro anymore.
Eric has been more than a trainer. He has been a coach, a mentor, and a positive force in my life. He is the definition of Newton's First Law of Motion...an object at rest stays at rest unless acted upon by an outside force.
He helped propel me into a positive motion in all aspects of my life. My work, my relationship with my boyfriend, being a better friend, daughter, sister and aunt. Working out with Eric and having him help me with my diet has also helped me to change my way of thinking.
When you have someone that believes in you and pushes you to achieve things you didn't think you could, it helps you push yourself in other ways and other facets of my life.
Eric has taught me to keep going and that I can live with fibro the way I want to live in spite of the things that it may do to me. I just have to look at things differently.
Everyone prepares for their day in different ways. I may have to add a thing to my routine to get through the day but working out with Eric has also helped me listen to my body, mind, and soul and work with it...not against it.
I pay attention to my body's cues better and know I can accomplish anything that I set out to do. It may not be done the same way I used to do things, it may take longer or I may have to work harder or modify my schedule but the point is I can do it.
I can do it. I CAN DO IT! With God all things are possible and Eric reminded me of that. Eric - Thank you for putting me back on my path!"
