What the experts say about fibromyalgia
January 19, 2016

Lifestyle changes

“The number of people with fibromyalgia are growing and we are seeing more younger people being diagnosed with it, whereas before we would generally see peri/ post menopausal women.

The pharmaceutical industry has jumped on the bandwagon to create a list of meds for this audience; however, this is not the answer.

The solution lies in patients becoming educated and learning how to run their body more effectively, addressing the underlying causes and imbalances, and becoming more proactive about their treatment.

Therefore, I see education as the largest part of the equation towards helping patients improve their situation.

The fibromyalgia patient must understand that there are changes that need to be made in their lifestyle, which includes what they eat and their nutrition. They must be willing to follow the program and stick with it in order to get results.

Each person's program is different so don't compare yourself with others, but stay true to what works best for you and stay on the healing path.

It's a journey: you will get results and improvements will happen for you when you follow a program that's designed to address your deficiencies and unique situation.”
